In 2004 a couple adventurous people took daring steps and continue to do so to this day. I include myself in on this ragamufin bunch and our decisions both individually and as a group have tremendously impacted all our lives, mine not the least of which. Its hard to say where the story begins; my decision to start tours in 1992, then have amazing partners join me in 1997 to start Paria Springs, or the decision to start offering adventure tours in 2000. Or is it the start of 2005 where Shannon Stowell and Chris Doyle who had just taken over the dying Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) decided they had to revolutionize the ATTA by staging the worlds first Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) in Seattle, October of 2005 and make a world body. Then my gut feeling decision to attend this first ATWS with no history or ability to prove how this would benefit Paria Springs where my first interaction was chatting to Shannon on the phone and realizing he's a guy despite his name, which I completely relate to. Dam yankees seem to have some strange gender confusion when it come to names.
